After hanging out in Budapest for a week I met up with Rachel and we went to Romania. A very beautiful and interesting country with their own take on many things. Here is the Romanian version of phone poles.

Wonderful drawings. All the best bits of Quentin Blake and Ronald Searle, and then something completely original. They would be very much at home in an issue of Punch from 1950.
