I've been doing a few pieces for Nickelodeon Magazine lately. I thought this one was kind of funny, conceived of by Jacob Lambert. It's the Rejects from Santa's Reindeer Tryouts.

Wow. For the first time I don't feel like I'm surrounded by 3,000 miles of pod people.

I just finished illustrating a book called "Being a Pig is Nice: A Child's Eye View of Manners" written by Sally Lloyd-Jones and published by Schwartz & Wade. It comes out in May of '09 but already has a link on Amazon (thanks for the tip Matt Jones), so run and get your credit card and use that link (over there to the right.. ya.. that's the one...) and start stimulating the economy!

this is actually the Yum Yum Donuts on Glenoaks by work, but I was too lazy to paint the suburban streets of Burbank behind it so I moved it to Palm Springs. You can tell because the trees which I had to make up suck and don't fit in.

Last weekend Rachel signed us up for a class at the Getty Villa on Ancient Greek cooking. It was very fun and inspired me to do greyscale on this drawing i did a while ago. We learned some fascinating things about Greek drinking parties and there'll be some drawings about it comin up soon.

Got to do something fun at work today, not that reference lists aren't fun. There's a very special episdode of Chowder where he battles Dislexia and I got to draw up some comps of him battling letters (and a number). thanks Carl!

I just got CS3 installed on my computer at work and now I can finally use all those cool brushes I stole from Chris Appelhans without crashing. I made this amazing piece of new age art, it's either something you see from the Hubble Telescope or that VD you picked up on the toilet seat at the Renaissance Faire.

Haevn't had any time for fun postings lately because of so much freelance work. But here is an entry from my 2nd favorite book called "The Word Museum" full of antiquated English words like:
GARDYLOO: A cry which servants in the higher stories of Edinburgh give after 10 pm when they throw the contents of chamber pots out the window onto the street below. This also coincidentally is seen in the first shot of the pilot I'm working on with my friend Darrick Bachman.
